Our group work on interdisciplinary topics in electrical engineering, applied physics, material science, and surface chemistry. We investigate the physics and applications of III-Nitride materials. In particular, we study energy efficient solid state lighting, green energy harvesting, and next generation electronics. In addition, we are also interested in optoelectronic devices, power electronics, and epitaxial crystal growth.

We emphasize on both hands-on engineering practices and fundamental studies in applied science. Students graduated from our group have found employment in industry, government laboratories, and academia.
