I have been at Yale since 1985 involved in teaching and research. I periodically teach undergraduate courses in the thermal/fluid area including: Thermodynamics, Aerodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Propulsion, and Laboratory on Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics. My most recent effort has been the development of a class on Energy, Engines and the Environment, covering thermodynamics, global warming, fossil fuels and renewable energy.  I also teach graduate classes in Combustion. On the research front, my research focuses primarily on combustion and electrospray fundamentals with applications. See details on CV and recent publications.

I anticipate one or two openings for graduate students each year. Interested students should familiarize themselves with the application procedure and apply by December. Unfortunately, because of the high volume of inquiries, I seldom reply to email queries.
