I have been at Yale since 1985 involved in teaching and research. I have been teaching a variety of undergraduate courses in the thermal/fluid area including: Thermodynamics, Aerodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Propulsion and Energy Conversion, Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics Laboratory and various seminar series on
energy and the environment. I also teach graduate classes in Combustion. On the research front, my research focuses primarily on combustion. But I have interest also in
electrospray fundamentals and applications, including nanoparticle synthesis. See these pages for further details on my CV, and a list of recent publications.

Job Openings
I anticipate at least one or two new openings for graduate students in my group each year. Interested students should familiarize themselves with the application procedure at the
Faculty of Engineering.
I also have periodic openings on an ad hoc basis for postdoctoral
experimentalists, visiting students at both undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as for visiting scientists.
