The heart-shaped Josephson junction, proposed by the Erlangen team as a Josephson vortex qubit, was featured on the cover page of the journal Phys. Stat. Sol. 233 vol. 3 (2002) focused on hardware for quantum computing. The image was taken from paper by A. Kemp et al.

The publisher Wiley-VCH puts forward vortex qubit as the main highlight in its recent issue of Physics Highlights (No. 14, November, 2002):“Heart”ware concepts for quantum computing .
