David Routenberg was born in Washington D.C. in 1981 and grew up in Northern Virginia .  He attended the University of Virginia as a Rodman Scholar where he received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with Distinction.  He spent time working at Yale in the Reed Lab during his second and third summers as an undergraduate, and joined the lab as a graduate student in 2003.  He is currently supported by a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship and is working on fabricating and characterizing nanoscale silicon devices as well as molecular electronic devices.
