Calhoun College
Class of 2008
Major: Electrical Engineering
I
began work in the Reed Lab in summer 2005 and,
interested by the research, have stayed on. I work under the
supervision of Eric Stern, helping
to develop nanowire
sensors for chemical and biological agents. My main projects have
involved testing a variety of
devices for their potential
future use as sensors and experimenting with various methods of
functionalization. I
am excited by the
progress thus far and look forward to successful demonstrations of
sensing. In the
long run, after school, I hope to work
on developing alternate energy source or other sustainable technologies.
