Honored by the American Chemical Society
 
Joseph Levitzky, who taught the Chemical Process Design course in our Department of Chemical Engineering for 22 years, was honored by the American Chemical Society (ACS) for his contributions to the profession and for his 50 years of service to the ACS. Mr. Levitzky was among the dozen area chemical engineers and chemists feted at receptions hosted by the Western Connecticut Region Section of the ACS at Sacred Heart University on Nov. 9 and by the New Haven Section of the ACS at the Southbury-Hilton on Nov. 14. Mr. Levitzky retired last year but continues to participate in Department of Chemical Engineering educational activities.
