Prof. Schultheiss surprising and surprised Prof. Peter Schultheiss '45WE, '48 MENG, '52 Ph.D. participates in all Electrical Engineering departmental affairs and co-teaches EE 229L "Circuits and Electronics Laboratory" with Prof. Janet Pan. He also teaches Math 222 "Linear Algebra with Applications" to a classroom full of science and engineering students in Dunham Lab Room 220. So, it took everyone by surprise when word got out that Prof. Schultheiss had turned 80! In no time, the Chair of the Electrical Engineering department Prof. T.P. Ma called a special faculty meeting to discuss curriculum. Prof. Schultheiss' colleagues slipped into the Faculty Lounge, closed the blinds, and waited. When the punctual Prof. Schultheiss opened the door, he was met by shouts of "Surprise!" and a full-throated rendition of "Happy Birthday!" |
