Environmental Engineering Graduate Student Sharon Walker (Advisor: Prof. Menachem Elimelech) was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the American Chemical Society for her presentation on "The Role of Lipopolysaccharide Composition on Bacterial Adhesion and Detachment under Flow Conditions" given in the Annual Meeting in New Orleans in March 2003.

This award recognizes the high quality and significant importance of work presented by members of the Environmental Chemistry Division.
