Sandia's Yale Campus Executive Program:
This new program will include: funding research at Yale, faculty/Sandia collaborative research at each other's site, seminars at each other's site, partnering on a major proposal, and annual recruitment of Yale students. Sandia's executives assigned to Yale are Robert Gallagher '72 Ph.D. (ChE) and Julia M. Phillips'77 M.S., '81 Ph.D. (AP), Director of Physical and Chemical Sciences, Albuquerque, NM.

Big jump in Engineering "Early Admits:"
The number of Engineering "Early Admission" students averaged 30 in past years. The number of Engineering "Early Admits" for fall 2002 is 50.

Your résumé must reach them by Feb. 8:
A Lincoln Laboratory representative will provide information about summer and full time employment opportunities at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, Boston, to undergraduates and graduate students on Tues., Feb. 19, 4:00 pm, in the Becton Faculty Lounge. Those who wish to be interviewed at that time (U.S. citizens only) must e-mail their résumé by Feb. 8 to Vyshnavi Suntharalingam '89 (EE) <vyshi@LL.mit.edu>

Better résumés for Engineering majors:
Tau Beta Pi has invited counselors from Undergraduate Career Services to work with engineering majors on creating or improving their résumés. Counselors will work with students one-on-one on a first-come-first-served basis in the Becton Faculty Lounge, Wed., Feb. 13, 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.

NSBE-Yale:
Tiffanee Green JE '03, NSBE-Yale Chair, and Nathan Hood SM '04, Pre-College Initiative Chair, judged a science fair Feb. 5 at Troup Magnet Academy of Sciences. Troup winners will compete in the city's science fair (with hopes of making it to the regional and state science fair). Troop had contacted NSBE-Yale because the latter had involved New Haven middle schools in a Bridge Building Competition at Davies auditorium last spring.

Winners to eat prize:
Thanks to Ms. Joanne Dupee, Business Office, Engineering's administrative offices in Dunham were entered in Yale Recycling Department's Recyclo! survey. A surprise survey of our trash, bottle, newspaper, and office paper bins rated us 9.3 out of 10, making us proud winners of fresh Dining Hall muffins. :)
