From the Desk of Mrs. Boone:
Undergraduates are invited to Dunham 222 to peruse the
Engineering Internships folder for internships and summer
research jobs. The information is also accessible at
    www.eng.yale.edu/undergraduate/internships.htm

Mrs. Jane Boone, Coordinator for Educational Affairs, would
like to express her appreciation to the gracious student hosts,
volunteers all, at the residential college luncheons during the
Engineering Alumni weekend: Calhoun--Kayla Nelson '03,
    Timothy Dwight--Joanna Dolgin '03, and Saybrook--Ryan
    Hutchinson '03,

Exhibit extended:
Beinecke Library will exhibit until Mon., Nov. 11, first or
early editions of Archimedes, Galileo Galilei, Isaac Newton,
James Clerk Maxwell, Josiah Willard Gibbs and others of
importance for the development of engineering from the
16th through the 19th centuries. Mezzanine level, stairs
    on right of entrance.

If we don't want it, let's not get it:
Last year, about 22 tons of unwanted mail (catalogs, magazines,
flyers, mail for people no longer at Yale) were _not even sent_
to Yale departments. Those 22 tons did not need to be hauled
to our landfill. And the senders can cut down on printing
    costs and save on postage.
So, let's cut down some more on unwanted mail. When
you get unwanted mail, drop it into the "unwanted mail"
receptacle in your mailroom. The mail will be sent to
Campus Mail which will contact senders requesting to
delete your name from their mailing lists. Or write
"Return" on the unwanted mail and send it to "Campus
    Mail" yourself.

Who's going to be speaking?
As soon as speakers are confirmed, they are posted on
    our website, www.eng.yale.edu/news/index.html under
    "Speakers, month-at-a-glance."

Who are you?
"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is
not an act but a habit." Aristotle.
