- For
research on water reuse:
-
Prof. Menachem Elimelech, EnvE/ChE, was appointed
-
ExxonMobil Chair Professor this past summer by the
-
Singapore Economic Development Board and the National
-
University of Singapore. This professorship recognizes
-
an individual who has significantly contributed to an area
-
of research of major importance to Singapore. Singapore,
-
a country of 4.2 million people, suffers from a serious
-
water shortage and has embarked on a comprehensive
-
research program in advanced membrane technology
-
to produce high quality water from sources such as
-
seawater and used domestic water. Prof. Elimelech did
-
research last July and August at the National University
