Technology, Netherlands, and Prof. Seigo Tarucha of the University of
Tokyo
with the ISCS-2001 Quantum Devices Award for "pioneering
contributions
to electronic transport and spectroscopy of quantum dots."
Prof.
Reed, who is giving a paper at the Symposium, will receive the award
on
the first day of the event.

Yale Science and Engineering Association provides grants for
undergraduates
doing research in any branch of science or engineering.
YSEA
accepts proposals at any time and responds within a month

for the Durham Fair, the largest agricultural fair in North America.*
See youth livestock competitions (beef, dairy, llamas, goats, poultry,
rabbits, sheep, swine); pulling contests (horses, oxen, ponies);
shepherd
dog trials; horticulture, cookery, hobbies, etc. There will
be
food, music (Diamond Rio, Roy Clark, and Bo Diddley), and…
