were also Dean Susan Hockfield and Associate Dean Richard Sleight
from the Graduate School and Dr. Paul Genecin, Director of the
Yale University Health Services.
Come to the Engineering student organizations fair:
- Engineering
student organizations are seeking to interest fellow students in
joining one or several of the following
organizations:
>AIChE, American Institute of Chemical
Engineers
>ASME, American Society of Mechanical
Engineers
>BMES, Biomedical Engineering Students
>EnvES, Environmental Engineering Students
>IEEE, Institute of Electrical and Electronics
Engineers
>NSBEY, National Society of Black Engineers at
Yale
>TBPi, Tau Beta Pi
>Team Lux, Yale solar car group
>YSEA, Yale Science and Engineering
Association
>YSM, Yale Scientific Magazine

Where? Outside Davies Auditorium in Becton.
What else? Cookies and soda or water.
Dr. Ewing heads Engineering's participation:
- Dr.
Martin Ewing, Director of Engineering IT, is in charge of
encouraging the Faculty of Engineering to donate generously to the
United Way Campaign of Greater New Haven. United Way distributes
the donations it receives to area agencies, freeing the latter
from the need to approach the community with individual
fundraising campaigns. You will find a list of the funded agencies
and information about the work of the United Way of Greater New
Haven at www.uwgnh.org/commimpact/agencies.html
Influenza and pneumovax vaccinations:
- Vaccinations
for members of the Yale community who are 62 and older will be
given at the Health Center
8:30 am to 4:00 pm on
Wed., Oct 31, and Thurs., Nov. 1,
Vaccinations for others will start a week later.
