Become an Engineering Tour guide:
Guides receive training (great transferable skills!) and make
$20 per tour. Depending on your schedule, you could lead
one, two, or three tours a week, probably Tuesdays,
    Thursdays, and Saturday afternoons. Contact
    <claire.conly@yale.edu> right away.

Sandia recruiters on campus:
Sandia recruiters will be interviewing Oct. 18. If you are
interested in discussing an internship or a permanent
position with Sandia, submit a resume by October 1 to
Ms. Erica Brossard, Dunham 220. For help with the
resume and with preparing for the interview, see below.

New Engineering-UCS liaison:
The new UCS liaison for Engineering is Mr. John Bau,
Assistant Director of Undergraduate Career Services.
He has extensive experience in career counseling (business,
engineering, science) and using Internet data mining
and other tools needed for job searches. He will offer
    undergraduates:
--A workshop on resume writing in September,
--A workshop on interviewing in early October,
--Resume critiques are already available at UCS
        on a first-come-first-served basis Mon.-Fri.,
        11:00 to 5:00 pm, 55 Whitney, 3rd floor.
Mr. Bau is available Thurs., 12:30-2:00, by
        appointment, 2-0800.
Visit a Recruiting Fair Sept. 17, Payne Whitney Gym,
11:30 am-3:00 pm. The Fair is open to graduate
    students, <www.yale.edu/career/media/corp_fair.pdf>

Engineering Library offers:
Workshop on "Web of Science" and "Tools for Citation Analysis."
Learn how to use Web of Science (Science Citation Index)
    for finding papers that have referenced a published work;
also learn to use tools for analyzing the impact of journals and
authors. Tues., Sept. 14, 4:00 pm.
