Before the Break:
   Undergraduates:
If you can you hold your own in a debate, Prof. Robert Grober, AP,
invites you to Davies auditorium Wed., March 3, 7:00 pm, for a
briefing about a debate competition on electronic-voting that should
get you excited about joining a debating team [two to four students
   in each].

   Faculty, postdocs, graduate students:
Faculty, postdocs, and graduate students are invited to serve
as judges for the debate competition [requirement: interest in
judging how well the teams do, rather than expertise in
the subject]. The debates, lasting about an hour, will be held
during the two weeks following Spring Break. If you are
willling to assist, please let Prof. Grober know before the Break
   <robert.grober@yale.edu>

The debate finals will be held in Luce Hall, April 2, during
the daylong symposium on "Voting in an e-Democracy."
   For specifics, visit <www.eng.yale.edu/debates>

Engineering Student Center a step closer:
The Engineering Student Center will move from the drawing
board to the real world the week of March 1 with the demolition
of the former "Circus." Linux machines eitx001 and eitx002
have been moved to the Mac Room of the Dunham "Garage."
You may remote-access those two machines by using SSH.
Please see Ms. Lieyang Zhou if you have questions.

Two administrative positions in Engineering:
Administrative Assistant C, will report to the Dean and
   the Director for Undergraduate Affairs.

Administrative Assistant C, will report to the Dean and
   the Development Officer for Engineering.

For specifics on both, visit <www.yale.edu/hronline/>

We're talking winner here!
"New product" designers, make way for Prof. Daniel Prober, AP.
Prof. Prober had a great idea for a new product--Answer Shoes!
Answer Shoes would be marketed to students who look to their
shoes for an answer when called upon. Answer Shoes could
also be programmed by professors to flash reminders about
   deadlines.
