Before
the Break:
Undergraduates:
If you can you hold your own in a debate, Prof. Robert
Grober, AP,
invites you to Davies auditorium Wed., March 3, 7:00 pm,
for a
briefing about a debate competition on electronic-voting
that should
get you excited about joining a debating team [two to four
students
in each].
Faculty, postdocs, graduate students:
Faculty, postdocs, and graduate students are invited to
serve
as judges for the debate competition [requirement: interest
in
judging how well the teams do, rather than expertise in
the subject]. The debates, lasting about an hour, will be
held
during the two weeks following Spring Break. If you are
willling to assist, please let Prof. Grober know before the
Break
<robert.grober@yale.edu>
The debate finals will be held in Luce Hall, April 2,
during
the daylong symposium on "Voting in an
e-Democracy."

Engineering
Student Center a step closer:
The Engineering Student Center will move from the drawing
board to the real world the week of March 1 with the
demolition
of the former "Circus." Linux machines eitx001
and eitx002
have been moved to the Mac Room of the Dunham
"Garage."
You may remote-access those two machines by using SSH.
Please see Ms. Lieyang Zhou if you have questions.
Two
administrative positions in Engineering:
Administrative Assistant C, will report to the Dean and
the Director for Undergraduate Affairs.
Administrative Assistant C, will report to the Dean and
the Development Officer for Engineering.
