Welcome:
    Dr. Hai Ni has joined us from the University of Windsor,
    Canada, as Visiting Scientist to do research on NiTi shape
    memory alloys from MEMS with Prof. Ainissa Ramirez, ME.
    Dr. Ni is an expert in thermal analysis of phase transitions
    and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and is interested
    in microstructure development in metals.
 
Discovery's "Science" features Prof. Kuc:
    Feb. 8, the "Science" WildTech series featured researchers
    from Yale, MIT, Brown, et al. in an hour-long program
    on seeing (What nature teaches robots). One segment
    highlighted Prof. Roman Kuc, EE, and his research
    on bat-mimicking mobile sonar.
