New Staff:
   Susan Pannella joined us 6/16 as Administrative Assistant
   in Mechanical Engineering. She has worked at Yale more
   than six years (Development, Religious Studies, and Epidemiology
   and Public Health). She expects to earn her Associate Degree
   in Business at Gateway Community College May 2004.
   Ms. Pannella is the mother of a son and a daughter; the latter
   received an M.S. from the Yale School of Nursing in '01.
 
   Nancy Bennett joined us 7/28 as Administrative Assistant in
   Biomedical Engineering. She has been at Yale since 1985,
   mostly in the Medical School. A graduate of Southern Illinois
   University, Ms. Bennett is active in affordable housing initiatives
   and enjoys playing the piano. Her only daughter is a dancer
   pursuing her career in New York.

Prof. Prober taught teachers:
   On the 4th floor of Becton, Prof. Daniel Prober, AP & Phys,
   taught a seminar during the summer on "Physics in Everyday
   Life" to a group of New Haven teachers taking courses in
   the Yale-New Haven Teachers Institute.
 
Engineering Student Council:
   On ESC's agenda: a monthly open forum, several events this
   semester for mentors and mentees, and a meeting with
   Dean Fleury. Council officers meet once a week and are
   eager for suggestions about anything regarding engineering 
   students.
