CTC Women of Innovation finalist:
Prof. Ainissa Ramirez, ME, is a finalist for the
title of 2006 Woman of Innovation, sponsored by
Connecticut Technology Council. The finalists, all
from Connecticut, are CEOs, educators, corporate
and academic re searchers, and high school students.
They come from biotech, pharmaceuticals, telecom,
software and IT, computer hardware, electronics,
advanced manufacturing, and advanced materials backgrounds.
Winners will be announced at the Awards Dinner Jan. 19
at the Crowne Plaza in Cromwell (formerly the Radisson
Cromwell).
Last year’s Awards Dinner was attended by 400 (Prof. Janet
Pan, EE & AP, and Prof. Lisa Pfefferle, ChE, were
among
the finalists). This year’s Awards Dinner is expected
to draw 500 attendees.
