Information and samples of the oldest college science magazine in the U.S.:

A line forms, and Kayla Nelson '03 hurries to lend a hand:

Whatever Sharon Walker is delivering, it will be gone in no time:

Prof. Jerry Woodall is
among the hungry, an unidentified guest, and
on the right is Mrs. Louise Grober and son Daniel:

A long line of the hungry
inches forward while early birds enjoy their food:
Prof. Kuc (opening soda)
and son, Ms. Joanne Dupee, Business Office, (blouse
of many colors), and, next to her, Ms. Sandra Tranquilly, Graduate Studies
Office:

A different
view: Prof. Kuc, Joanne
Dupee, Sandra Tranquilly, Prof. Eric Altman, ChE,
and someone who wonders how come he's last in line.

Waiting in line was,
actually, part of the fun. Foreground (in short sleeves),
is Kevin Aptowicz, Ph.D. candidate in Applied Physics:

It also led
to interdepartmental interaction: Prof. Loewenberg
(profile,
DUS for ChE), grad student Sebastian Kaiser, Prof. Long (Chair, ME),
and Prof. Ma (Chair, EE):

A happy group including a Freshman, on the right :

Prof. Robert
Schoelkopf, AP, holding court and, on the right,
Dr. Konrad Lehnert and grad student Aric
Sanders (pony tail):

Prof. Michel Devoret, AP, and Dr. Irfan Siddiqi (white collar):

Sukalyan
Bhattacharya, Ph.D. candidate in Mechanical Engineering,
Prof. Jerzy Blawzdziewicz, ME, (in 7th heaven!), Mrs. Anetta
Blawzdziewics, and Prof. Eric Altman, ChE:

Dr. Beth Anne
Bennett, ME, Ms. Tanis Lea, Administrative Assistant in AP,
and grad student Athos Georghiades '03:

Put your raffle tickets in here, says Sharon Walker:

Eric Stern '03 and Prof. Robert Grober
(right) and others are grilling as fast
as they can:

Eric Stern '03,
Robert Koudelka, EE Ph.D. candidate, and Prof. Robert Grober
(looking down at a very small
customer?), and (in navy tee shirt) Sven Ude,
Ph.D. candidate in Chemical Engineering:

Tom Boone, EE Ph.D. candidate, and Kayla Nelson '03:

An overview of where everybody is going:

And the other half of the plaza, where they will still find a few places to sit:

Sharon Walker confers with the Dean about...:

...dessert:

Prof. Daniel
Rosner's, ChE, back, Prof. Mark Reed, EE, Prof. Alessandro
Gomez, ME, (making a point),
and Prof. Amable Linan, ME:

Discussions:

Tolga Eren, EE
Ph.D. student, Prof. Rimas Vaisnys, EE & EEB, Prof Loewenberg, ChE
(facing left), and someone who needs to be identified:

Prof. Daniel
Rosner, ChE, and Prof. Ira Bernstein, ME, found an interesting
topic and so did Mrs. Sue Rosner and Mrs. Anetta Blawzdziewicz (back of
head):

Ready with the raffle? Mrs. Jane Boone, Coordinator for Educational
Affairs
and
the Select Program (blue jacket), Sharon Walker, and Dean Fleury who is
ready to draw the winning tickets:

We have a winner!

Many won a "Yale Engineering" tee shirt that day:

Friends and colleagues:

...more friends (Tiffanee Green '03, left, and Boma West-Murphy '03):

...and still more friends:

A smiling Prof. Jung Han, EE,
Prof. Peter Kindlmann, EE, who blinked at
the wrong time, Mr. Joseph Levitzky, ChE, and Prof. Menachem
Elimelech, ChE/EnvE:

Sara Hashmi, Ph.D.
candidate in ChE, worked all day to make it such a
pleasant event for all :

"Don't take a
picture of me!" says Mrs. Boone, while Professor Emeritus
Werner Wolf, AP, and Senior Administrator are oblivious of the roving
photographer:

Prof. Roman Kuc with daughter Katya, son victor, and Mrs. Boone:

Dr. Jim Heiland and
Tom Boone Sr. who helped everybody with everything
from start to finish:

Even Fido had a grand old time playing with his mini Poland Spring bottle:
