Prof. Joseph Pignatello among world's most cited researchers

ISI, Institute for Scientific Information (headquarters in Philadelphia, PA, and offices throughout the world) has announced that Joseph J. Pignatello, Professor Adjunct of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Engineering at Yale, is one of the world's most cited authors in the area of ecology/environment. Fewer than 0.5% of all publishing researchers are listed in this group.

Prof. Pignatello's research focuses on organic pollutants in underground and aquatic environments: transport, adsorption mechanisms and kinetics; also on remediation strategies for contaminated soils, water, and industrial wastewater. His primary affiliation is with the Connecticut Agricultural Experimental Station in New Haven, CT.
