Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME) in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan, has honored Prof. Yehia Khalil, Chemical Engineering, with its "2003 International Award" for his contributions as Technical Track Leader on "Risk Assessment, Safety, and Plant Evaluation" at the 11th International Conference on Nuclear Engineering (ICONE-11), Tokyo, April 20-23, 2003.

Prof. Khalil has 17 years of industrial experience in power plant operation, including as Engineering Manager of the Risk Assessment Department at the Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Dominion Nuclear Connecticut, Waterford, CT. [Millstone Station was acquired in 2001 by Dominion Energy of Richmond, VA].
