Alumnus endows Engineering professorship: 

Thomas E. Golden, '51E B.E. (with Highest Honors), '52 M.Eng, 
has endowed a Thomas E. Golden Professorship in Engineering. 
The announcement was made Oct. 30 by D. Allan Bromley, Sterling 
Professor of the Sciences and the former Dean of Engineering, at a 
reception in Luce Hall attended by President Richard Levin, 
Provost Alison Richard, Deputy Provost for Science and Technology 
Pierre Hohenberg and Engineering and other faculty and guests. 
After graduation from Yale, Mr. Golden served with the Corps of 
Engineers in Alaska as the Resident Engineer during the construction 
of the Army Arctic Center and later was Executive Vice President 
for a New York Exchange-listed international marine construction 
firm. For the past 30 years, he has been President of the Darien-based 
Thomas E. Golden Realty Company and its affiliates. He has also 
served as an Officer or Director of a number of public and private 
companies and has been active in a wide range of community 
programs in the Darien area.
