Prof. Elimelech honored for landmark environmental engineering paper

Every year, the Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors chooses "To recognize the author(s) of a landmark environmental engineering paper that has withstood the test of time and significantly influenced the practice of environmental engineering."

In 2002, AEESP conferred this honor on Prof. Menachem Elimelech (Yale) and Prof. Charles R. O'Melia (Johns Hopkins) for their paper "Kinetics of Deposition of Colloidal Particles in Porous Media," Environmental Science & Technology, Vol. 24, pages 1528-1536 (1990).

Prof. Elimelech and Prof. O'Melia will accept the award at the 75th Annual Meeting of the Water Environment Federation September 30 in Chicago.
