Acoustical Society of America awards Gold Medal to Prof. Robert Apfel

 

In June, at its bi-annual meeting in Pittsburgh, PA, the Acoustical

Society of America awarded a Gold Medal to Prof. Robert Apfel,
Robert Higgin Professor of Mechanical Engineering, "for fundamental

contributions to physical acoustics and biomedical ultrasound and

for innovative leadership in electronic publishing."

 

Prof. Apfel was the President of ASA from 1995 to 1996.
