Prof. Ahn, Prof. Schoelkopf among 100 invited by the National Academy of Engineering

The National Academy of Engineering invited Prof. Charles Ahn and Prof. Robert Schoelkopf to participate in the Eighth Annual Symposium on the Frontiers of Engineering in Irvine, CA, Sept. 18-21, 2002.

Prof. Ahn, Prof. Grober, and Prof. Schoelkopf, in 2001, when the Yale Department of Applied Physics became one of only two academic departments in the country to have three active Packard Fellows on the faculty

The National Academy of Engineering extends an invitation to participate this symposium after a competitive nomination and selection process. The purpose of the symposium is to "[bring] together 100 of the nation's outstanding young engineers (ages 30-45) from industry, academia, and government to discuss pioneering technical work and leading-edge research in various engineering fields and industry sectors."

Prof. Schoelkopf has also been invited to chair a session at next year's symposium.
