Due in lab this week (Jan.12-15 at the beginning of lab)

Identify 5 design problems with products in your daily environment. These items may be in your dorm, cafeteria, classroom, or on the street. Describe the problem, and draw a simple sketch to accompany the description. If you can think of potential solutions, jot them down, but don't worry if you have no solutions.

During this weeks lab, pairs of students will get information on some their design problems. The search will include the Internet, the US patent database, and technical articles.
