Research in Prof. Koser’s group centers around the merging of Nanotechnology with Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) specifically for biomedical and portable power applications. We focus not only on the development, characterization and functionalization of new materials and devices, but also on physical modeling, synthesis and device fabrication.

Our group consists of researchers from a wide range of backgrounds, including Electrical, Mechanical, Aero/Astro, Biomedical, and Chemical Engineering, as well as Physics and Materials Science. We are always looking for new, highly motivated individuals with a strong interdisciplinary research interest.

In this web site (which is still under construction), you may find information about our work on ferrofluids and their biological applications, as well as some of our recent work on bacteria hydrodynamics and power harvesting devices.
