BIO
Rohit Shankar is a rising senior at Choate Rosemary Hall, a private secondary school in Wallingford, Connecticut. He has lived in the town of Cheshire, Connecticut for his entire life. Rohit is very interested in math, science, and economics as well as all things analytical. He also has a passion for sports as he plays basketball and tennis competitively and hopes to continue this into college. His life is full of the anxiety that comes with the college application process.

At the Koser Lab this summer, Rohit is working with ferrofluids in an attempt to create an alternative mode of transportation that is more reliable and practical than today’s methods. He is trying to create a simple way to move along a vehicle along a pathway using the ferrofluids to allow the vehicle to travel without friction.
