Series Resonance of the Tuning Fork
The tuning fork was driven in a circuit that compensates for the parallel electrical resonance, yielding only the series resonance. This resonance, shown below (dots), is fit by a Lorentzian (solid red line) centered at 471.535 kHz with a Q=4400. The impedance at resonance is of order 360 kOhm, though we acknowledge that this measurement might not be calibrated. Assuming the resonance impedance to be accurate, we determine from the fit parameters the R, L, and C parameters of the series resonance:
