My research activity is in the areas of general fluid mechanics, heat and mass
transfer, and combustion. I am interested in the modeling and analysis of the processes
based on analytical, multiple-scales, and asymptotic techniques, and also in their
numerical analysis.
In the area of combustion, I focus on the description of the structure, ignition, and
extinction of premixed and diffusion flames and in the combustion of sprays. I am also
involved with modeling of NOx and CO production in premixed and unpremixed combustion
systems.
My primary appointment
is at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Aeronáuticos,
(UPM), in Madrid.
