Roberto Goizueta ’53 ChE awarded a Doctor of Humane Letters by the University to honor of his outstanding leadership in the business world. He was selected a Gordon Grand Fellow at Yale in 1984, and became the University’s inaugural Sheffield Fellow in 1996.

A new major in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science established.

Team Lux’s first Yale solar car participated in Sunrayce ’97. They finished the 1200 mile trip from Indianapolis to Colorado Springs in ninth position out of 36, and first among the rookie teams.
