John B. Fenn received the American Society for Mass Spectrometry Award for “The development of Dr. Fenn’s electrospray technique has had a significant impact on mass spectrometry, and its applications will have profound influence upon physico-chemical measurement techniques in such fields as fundamental chemistry, biochemistry, immunology and genetics.”
