As we proceed into the 21st Century, our country's innovation culture, the major source of wealth, creation and of improvements in the human condition, is being confronted by technical and societal threats and challenges. The forum addressed the threats and challenges from the perspectives of the major sectors of our society: government, industry and academia.

The forum also provided an opportunity to frame approaches, propose solutions and build relationships by leaders concerned with strengthening innovation in this century.
