This site was the prefect opportunity for me to both sharpen and show-off my skills as a web site designer. Using custom Javascripting allowed many features usually implemented using Java. Making these features with Javascript allows compatibility with older browsers without having to downgrade the site. Javascripting also allowed me to offer automatic alternatives for plugin-dependent features (i.e. VRML).

In addition to working for Professor Peter J. Kindlmann, I also worked on a project for Professor David Kriegman this summer. This project, funded by the National Science Foundation, included rebuilding and reprogramming a robot. The robot, RJ, had its processors replaced with a fast, up-to-date, system. Configuring mainstream components to work with RJ ensured ease with future upgrades.
