Title: Scaling of the Capacity Region of Wireless Networks
Abstract: Single-parameter capacity scaling in wireless networks under a specific uniform traffic pattern has been widely studied over the last decade. In general networks, however, different users may generate traffic at widely different rates for destinations that are located at widely different distances. In this talk, we discuss two recent results that obtain scaling characterization under arbitrary traffic patterns, and thus determine the scaling of the entire capacity region. This talk is based on joint works with Urs Niesen, Sundar Subramanian, Devavrat Shah, and Sanjay Shakkottai.
