Invest in Yale Engineering
Thank you for considering your own gift to Yale Engineering. Tuition alone does not pay for a student’s education and training. In fact, tuition covers less than half the cost of a Yale Engineering education. Our costs include upgrading our facilities and classrooms, recruiting and marketing to ensure we find and enroll the very best students - taught by the very best faculty in the world, securing scholarships and other financial aid to help those students who come here, and allowing us to pay the salaries to employ a world-class faculty. We can't do all that with tuition revenue. We have always relied on gifts from alumni and friends. In the Yale Engineering family, one generation gives back to help the next. Remember, the better we get, the more valuable your degree becomes - think of it as an investment in your degree and in your Yale Engineering community. These investments, no matter how small or how large, are greatly appreciated.
Traditionally, a majority of the gifts made to Yale Engineering come in the form of cash, via check or credit card. A gift of cash entitles you to the most generous federal income tax deduction available for charitable contributions. You may deduct up to 50 percent of your adjusted gross income for gifts of cash and may carry any amount over that figure forward for up to five additional years.
